Ein Gedi School, founded in 1977, currently operates in a cluster of older permanent and temporary structures that have been adapted over the years to meet the institution’s evolving needs and character. Our proposal seeks to create an architecture that grows out of the desert landscape, responding to the educational village’s unique geographic and community setting at the heart of the kibbutz, overlooking the Moab Mountains and the Dead Sea. The design aims to bring together community, landscape, sustainability, and progressive approaches to teaching and learning, while establishing a distinctive, place-based identity for the Ein Gedi Educational Village.
